Is a portable WiFi device that is a private network available to purchase?

very new to this field so don’t judge me, but I travel a lot and it has been difficult to work outside of my home/company office because my work computer will only connect to another wifi network that is private. Most cafes, libraries, etc seem to have public free wifi. Is there something that I can purchase that will allow me to work on this work computer wherever?
