Just read an article quoting managers at various software companies saying they face major challenges finding and keeping talent. True? Why?

I am not a software engineer nor do I work in the space, I am really curious if this is true of the industry and what your takes might be on it?

If you feel like good engineering talent tends to jump ship for another, why? Again, very little knowledge of the industry norm here
