Same framework/language for web and mobile?

I'm starting a project made up of a website with database and a mobile app for IOS and Android. I'm figuring out what framework(s) to use. Is there any point in trying to use the same language for the web part and the mobile part? I'm not sure if you run into problems if the website is in php for example and the mobile in react.
