How to learn software development

I've been on the logistics, shipping and import/export industry for over 10 years. I was very interested to use my experience to create a B2B software for businesses, case use would be for logistics operations (like tracking, tracing, market/shipping rates using API, logging operational data)

I wanted to ask the community how I could learn how to create this sort of software/web application. Even if I could learn some of it at least il be able to speak with developers more intelligently and also assist.

I did try to google software development courses but the topic is so vast that the proper search results don't show up.

Also there seems to be so many coding languages that I don't know where to start..
