Resources for the basics of different areas of development

Hi all,

I work for a small team of developers in a medium sized business. I am a software developer but without much experience doing it…

Im fine with the code side of things, I can usually make sense of whats put in front of me if it has all been set up for me. However, my inexperience massively shows in pretty much anything other than that. My team is helpful but I hate constantly having to bother them with what im guessing are basic principles. Things like services, web services, shared dll files, everything. They know im coming in without previous experience as someone who has always exceeded in what they do, its starting to affect me quite a bit.

If im asked to code review something and i hit build and it works fine, im capable of going through it all absolutely fine. If I hit build and its missing dependencies, or is not fully working correctly by not communicating with something, im absolutely stuck.

We pretty much exclusively use .Net, but seeing how all these different apps, services, apis, uris all come together is completely beyond me. Does anyone have some good resources or advice they recommend? I have been asked to lead a more business-based project which im doing really well with, but the technical side of things are going to really slow me down.
