I've been working in accounting for 6 years now. I am sick of it. I took accounting because I thought it had a lot of math. I have always been good at math. But accounting has nothing to do with math. More about recording numbers based on a rule book.
I thought of computer science because I realized what I love the most about accounting is making excel file spreadsheets, and using VBA to automate things. I did some courses on computer science (CS50) and it was awesome. I feel like I can create a lot more than I can on Excel if I learn how to code and make software.
But the issue is, this is a BIG shift. I'm wondering if it will be worth it. Will it be enjoyable the way I imagine it will be? Will I feel the same things I felt when I finish making an Excel file to automate tasks?
And, is CodeWithMosh a good website to make my shift?
