Json format for google map markers

So I’m a rookie and need something clarified. If I create a response that containers latitude and longitude locations for plotting a marker on google maps then what would be the structure of that json that would not require any string manipulation or data type conversions or anything? I’m so confused how it should be structured for this purpose.
