Software that reads brainwaves and displays them/ records them.

Hey everyone so I'm not sure if this is the proper outlet, but like the title says I wanted to start a project to create software that can display my brain activity or something. I saw a video of a woman with a little device on her forehead and was listening to something at the same time, recording how her brain was reacting to it I assume. Would this be possible to create with little experience? Would love input from you guys, even if it just points me to another subreddit lol
