Shifting careers into Software Dev. Any advice? ✨️

Hi everyone! I'm looking to shift industry from graphic design into something more challenging.

I've narrowed my searches to 3 industries where I feel I would still flourish and enjoy it, one being Software Development.

It's definitely the more complex of the 3 as it's like learning a new language I hear. So I just wanted to ask what your thoughts are of the space? Is it hard to break into? How did you begin? What would you recommend doing if you could restart all over in the industry?

I'm nearing 7 years of experience in design which is a mix of different disciplines like branding, graphics, website design, content design, a bit of product design and a bit of UX/UI (the last 2 being my other industry picks with which I'm researching alongside software dev)

Anything is very helpful as I'm in no man's land right now as to where to start. Thank you 🐸
