Approximately how long would it take me to build a piece of software?

Hello! I am a reputation management specialist, and just thought of something that could be valuable for every business that has a address. I don’t know anything in the way of software development, or anything code related.

I’m just curious, approximately how long does it take to build a piece of software?

I thought about learning code – how bad of an idea would it be to learn for the purpose of building this software myself?
