I just started working at a start-up and I'm wondering if this is normal. I have previous SQL experience so that was the majority of the work I was doing, and I was able to be pretty independent. I have 0 coding experience and graduated from CS 6 months ago. My boss just moved me to a more traditional developer position using python and node. I have never used these languages before and don't really know what I'm doing. Our code base is much more complex than what I did in school, and I was told that I couldn't distract senior developers to have them help me…..
Is this normal to expect me to be this independent already?
Can you guys tell me about your first experiences that you had? how much help and support did you get?
