I have a free tuition to attend an online SWE bachelor degree program.
Is this route better than attending a bootcamp (not free). Let’s say that finance is not an issue.
I also have 1/2 semester left to finish my associate in philosophy.
I feel like (correct me if I’m wrong). If I wanted to do just front end web development, a bootcamp is better.
But if I want to be an actual engineer ; a better developer, the school is the way to go.
For any of those 2 options, do you guys recommend for me to finish my AA? I’ve heard that philosophy is valuable in tech due to the training in critical thinking/logical deduction aspect.
For context: I’m currently 30. I’ve read stuff about ageism and sort of concern.
