what business problems should I solve in my portfolio?

Watched a video regarding portfolio pieces and someone recommended building a bug tracker as it solves a real business problem and is something that the management would likely use, so they can relate to it. While I like the idea, I wanted to build a couple of more things that were solving real problems so shoot your suggestions away. One of the things that came to my mind was slack clone, but that doesn't interest me that much.
