Did anyone transition to software development from UX design and what type of role do you have now?

What was your experience like? I have 9 years of UX under my belt and I'm considering taking a software development bootcamp because I'm tired of my design role. Worried that I'll only be able to find work at small companies because I might be seen as not specialized enough anymore.
