Does anyone else face difficulty in building proof of concepts for new ideas or features?

For new software features, I feel challenged sometimes to clearly explain to my team what I'm building or trying to implement. I also feel that it can be difficult to build out proof of concepts for new features or ideas that I sometimes come up with. It could be environment related setup issues, or getting some technology in my proof of concept to work with other systems because of the many different ways that other teams have implemented the same technology.

Am I the only one that feels this way at work? I’m building a platform to try and solve my problem if anyone is interested in following the journey (twitter: @proto_typed). Curious to see if others face similar issues in explaining their concepts to teams, or in general building out proof of concepts to validate against?
