I typically spend 10-12 hours a 4-7 days/week programming and was considering a switch to OLED monitors for programming to reduce power consumption. The reduction in power consumption I would assume would come from the higher contrast allowing me to turn the brightness down and having mostly dark themed apps open all the time would start to add up significantly over time.
Anyone have oled monitors and issues with burn in or suggestions on what models to stay away from? I currently have 2 27" 4k IPS displays and a 1080p IPS monitor all in landscape setup so that left monitor has two separate IDE windows, middle display has web browser and dedicated terminal and the 1080 display on the right has whatever instant messaging app the company i work for uses/email. I don't do any color accurate work so it's not a big necessity.
I'm hoping to score a black friday deal or something and get some more efficient ones on the cheap at the ones i have currently are on the lowest end of the cheap to functional ratio while still being able to function monitors.
