DSA Approaches

I have been into IT/Software for a while now and very rarely do I get the thought of approaching or coding a solution from the DSA standpoint ( which I believe is more like thinking from the first principles approach).

How often do you think of all the available data structures & Algos (trees, tries, Queues, etc..) while coding, and do you also consider time/space complexities every time?
