Hi. I’ve been thinking about studying software engineering to become a software developer but I’m not sure yet and I’d like to know some of the pros and cons of working as a software developer. Things I feel I should say about myself is that I’m not very good at math, nor do I like math (cause I usually don’t understand math. I was thinking of taking some math classes before going to school to freshen up on it). I also am not very good at dealing with frustration. I have a low frustration tolerance and it can make me have a gathering of bad emotions. Mostly anger and dread. I’ve sometimes gotten a slightly upset stomach from just being frustrated about something. I share these two things about me because I’ve heard that in software development there’s a lot of math and coding can be frustrating at times. Are these facts about myself dealbreakers for studying software engineering? Please share your opinions and experiences being a software developer! Just be kind please.
Thank you! 🙂
