I have worked as a software developer for 10 years, some of it at good companies, some at not so good. One criticism I have of open source software is that if it were possible to sell software, libraries…etc, developers could in essence unchain themselves from their bosses, and just sell products. As it stands now, the only way to make a living as a developer is to work for a company, with all that comes along with that.
