I mean, I do know what it is. But where do these numbers and estimates come from? It makes no sense to me. It sounds the most unscientific way one could imagine to estimate the number of people and months it would take to complete a project.. it feels like you'd be better off pulling numbers from a hat. Is this stuff really used by upper management?
